PURSUE GOD’S HEART

Lord, help me understand this beautiful, mysterious paradox of You asking me to seek You, all the while You are in me and I am in You. May my affections, my energy, my time be devoted to seeking You, while I also find my rest in You.

May I go the distance in pursuit of Your heart.

You traveled the distance, Lord. Since the beginning, when you made that last walk in the Garden of Eden to Your walk out of the Garden of Gethsemane to bear the cross for me, every step has been in pursuit of my heart.

May my every step be in pursuit of Yours.

You didn’t desire to just walk with me, but You chose to live in me. Closer and closer You came until You made a way, not just to my heart, but in it. How great is Your love for me! Help me seek You with all my heart, until I find You.
