GRACE FOR SELF

by: Michele-Lyn Ault

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is give grace to myself. How can I extend grace, if I won’t receive grace? Lord, help me give myself grace. Help me to see myself the way You see me, through the blood of Your precious Son that made my sins, my failures, my mistakes — though they be like scarlet — white as snow.

When the lies come battering against my mind, help me stand and declare the truth: I am beloved, I am chosen, I am accepted, and I am Yours. Help me not keep account of the wrong I have done, or of the wrong done to me, because You have removed my wrongdoing as far from us as the east is from the west. For as high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is Your endless love for me. {Psalm 103:12}
